Functional Neurosurgery and Deep Brain Stimulation
This session will review the use of functional neurosurgery, particularly deep brain stimulation (DBS), in treating movement disorders like Parkinson’s disease and dystonia. Attendees will explore new DBS applications for psychiatric conditions such as obsessive-compulsive disorder and depression, as well as advancements in neuromodulation technologies and personalized DBS programming.
